WORKSHOPS

Let’s face it, we spend most of our life at work. Yet, we often fail to seriously invest in how we make work better. And, I’m not talking about free lunch and foosball tables, I’m talking about evidence based, best practice research that informs the way workplaces run and the people within them work. Most of the major issues that organisations face — performance, employee engagement, workplace relationships or productivity — are related to psychology. Danielle Buckley provides bespoke training programs that uses evidence-based psychology principles and best practice research to address these issues and in return you get increases in attraction, engagement and the retention of employees.

Science was meant to be sexy. There is a plethora of scientific theories, evidence and research that it crucial to the way we think, feel and behave at work. This is important to know. Danielle’s aim is share this research with you in a way that is engaging, practical and purposeful. Each session will always include tips and techniques that individual’s can immediately apply to how they think, feel and behave differently. Just like we know the rules of engagement when it comes to having a healthy body, we must also know how to have a healthy mind.

When working with an organisation, all programs, involve stakeholder engagement and identification of the organisation’s unique challenges and key goals of the session. Danielle offer both off the shelf programs as well as bespoke programs. Danielle has extensive experience working across cultures and throughout APAC.

General programs include:

  • Mental health first aid

    • As many organisation’s have begun to allocate ‘wellness warriors’, or mental health ambassadors, to support these champions to play a role in creating mentally healthy workplaces, Danielle will provide a one or two day ‘mental health first aid’ training certificate. This covers the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues, how to spot and recognise these at work, followed by developing skills to respond and promote positive mental health. This session can be spread over multiple days and broken into shorter sessions.

  • Managing mental health during complex times

    • This pandemic has led to changes in how we live. In complex times it’s normal for people to feel isolated, uncertain and alone. However, as the world moves on from covid there are consistent new challenges felt and experiences across the globe. For many people they are questioning how they live, work and parent. This makes it critical to begin to understand the link between our thoughts, feeling and actions we can begin to challenge our narrative and learn how to apply simple principles to managing change effectively.

  • Introduction to mental health and performance

    • Some workplaces and organisations are only at the beginning of their mental health journey. This workshop explores the link between mental health and performance. With only 20% of the population flourishing, those that are languishing are more likely to experience a decline in their mental health when set back occur. This workshop is compelling yet a gentle introduction to get people thinking about their thinking while exploring the benefits to the organisation when employees are mentally healthy.

  • Creating a culture of wellbeing

    • As we begin to adapt to our ‘new normal’, data acknowledges that the world is seeing a rise in mental illness and a decrease in thriving and flourishing. For many people this doesn’t mean experiencing a mental illness but instead feeling empty, bored, annoyed and just “blah”. While anything less than flourishing is problematic for both individuals and organisations, its important we learn how to shift this mindset and start investing in creating a culture of wellbeing where we examine how we think, feel and behave and develop tools to shift gears towards a culture of wellbeing for us and those we work with.

  • Communicate: How to have courageous conversations

    • When workplace relationships are positive, even the toughest conversations are more easily managed. While most people don’t like conflict, having difficult conversations is part of life and work. In this workshop individuals reflect on their own relationship with difficult conversations, discover a formula for having courageous conversations conversations and then put it to practice. This session is great for new teams, groups coming together for a common project or any workplace that wants seamless communication strategies.

These workshops are interactive, science based and focus on creating a meaningful transfer of learning.
